Refine Your Abilities to Excellence and Expand Your Capabilities as a Massage Therapist
A Rare Weekend Event!
Two Extraordinary Women, Mia Segal and daughter,
Leora Gaster in Seattle to Present the Work of
Moshe Feldenkrais, D.Sc.
Sat.-Sun. Sept. 11-12, 2010
Find out how moving with very little effort while discerning small differences can literally create new neural pathways and increase your potential and vitality. Learn about using non-habitual patterns, which will enable you to use your untapped resources. Improve your quality of movement and improve your quality of life!
Fine tuning your ability to observe and respond to each person individually increases their sense of comfort and safety and their enjoyment of the massage experience. Also your self use improves preventing injury and strain.
Often referred to as ‘Awareness Through Movement’, which was translated from the Hebrew word Shichlul Ha’Yecholet, a clearer meaning is actually “Honing/tuning/refining ability to excellence”.
Mia Segal, world renowned Master Trainer, Moshe Feldenkrais’s first assistant and collaborator, has been practicing and training for over half a century. Mia, together with her daughter Leora, who learned this work beginning in early childhood under the guidance of Moshe and Mia will share their knowledge in a way that is easy to grasp yet reflects the complexity and effectiveness of The Feldenkrais Method. ‘Functional Integration’ lessons will also be demonstrated.
