Acupressure is a major component in Thai Yoga Massage. In this one-day advanced workshop, you will learn to locate, palpate, and stimulate 68 of the most frequently used acupressure points in the body. You will also learn the theory of Yin-Yang, the indications for each point, and when to easily incorporated them into your session, whether you practice on a mat or a massage table. Class begins with yoga/meditation/breath work. Participants will receive a Certificate of Completion for 8 NCBTMB, THAI & Yoga Alliance continuing education credit hours.

About Eric: I am a registered Thai massage instructor who began studying 14 years ago with master teachers in Thailand. I have been to Thailand seven times, have earned certificates from several Thai institutions. I am also a nationally certified massage therapist, acupuncturist and a certified Viniyoga instructor. I graduated from the Brian Utting School of Massage in 1994 and received a Master of Acupuncture degree from the Northwest Institute of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in 2002. Prior to studying healing arts, I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and a Master's degree in Environmental Science. I have taught Thai Yoga Massage since 1998 and am a continuing education provider with National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork, Thai Healing Alliance International, and Yoga Alliance International. |
